Question Speed Inc cadillac cam .....

My buddy was asking around and heard that speed inc makes a cam called the cadillac cam. Im not asking for specs(I know its custom grind),but he heard that they are stealthy and work good with stock manifolds etc..... He really wants to do the sleeper thing, stock rims, hood, stock appearing motor, with a hidden nitrous kit. Anyone tried one of these cams? Anyone got a little more info on it? I looked on their site and its listed, but don't give any kind of detail or what it is good for etc... thanks in advance. Dale

Email Larry and I'm sure he can fill you in. I think that cam is a LS cam though I'm sure they can get you hooked up!

No, it's an LTx cam. I know of one person running it on here. I think it's PNYKLR-TA. Not 100% sure though.

Yea, I think it is PNYKLR that runs it. His results were damn impressive, as he had a few more mods than just the K&N and muffler.

I never saw that original that Larry just posted, but I must say that I'm very very impressed by the fact it made great power with no tune! I mean, there was very little TQ loss w/o one, but the 10hp would make it worth the tune. Along with, a necessity given the reported power band, having the rev limiter raised to probably 6200. Also it looks like I'd be pretty close to 300hp, given I'm an A4. Which is really nice since I wouldn't have to get headers or any other bolt ons, as I'm in love with my exhaust note as is

Larry, do you guys have a pic of the dyno graph by chance? I'm interested to see it visually. Did INTMD8 (Jim I assume?) ever swap it into his LT4?

You guys have a cost on it? Doubt it, but can it be re-ground from a stock LT1 cam? lol I don't have the money for anything on my car, and won't for quite some time, but I think that might have to be my first mod, given that all it is, is a cam for a guaranteed 30hp (it'll make more, but that's my point). Which is more than can be said from headers, which can be just as big of a pain to install lol

Well he is purchasing the "cadillac" today. I have to say that the numbers on that cam are awesome for what it is. I will not reveal my friends name on here or his car,but I will post times and keep everyone posted on how he likes the cam and most importantly how it works w/the n20. I can't wait to see this, and its not even my car lol.

We shall see in about a month. They told him a week to a week and half to get the cam, then they have to ship it to him, once he gets it,we start the install, and wait for the tracks to open. He is gonna have to go see Madtuner aswell.

What would this cam do with all the supporting mods is the real question.

It would be out shinned by many cams. I think the reason why it is impressive, is because it was spec'd for stock manifolds, like stealth cams are. Once you go full bolt-on's, I think the cam will become inferior to others, like the CC305 or CC503.
