Well fucker my opti just took a dump last night...Ryne and I are currently working on a Ls1 pcm Conversion. So, I don't really expect to be running this for too long. I can also change an opti in under an hour so it won't be such a big deal. I keep everybody posted on how well it performs for the money I spent. |

I would just return it and buy the Delphi one I linked you. That's your best bet! ;) I also call bs on an opti change in under an hour. |
Trust me bro...$63 shipped is definately worth the gamble, at least for me it is. And as for the r&r time give or take an hour then......lol Let me put it like this though, I rather change an opti than change my plugs. I've had my lt1 for about 10 years now, so I am used to the kind of work that comes from them. |

I learned my lesson won't skimp on an opti again. It's just not worth having to tow it home and go through all of the work again. |

I know what you are saying, I've been through maybe 6 opti's by now. All of which were bought from the dealer. This is the first time I am buying a knock off opti, but for $60 bucks I said fuck it, I'll try it. Like I said earlier I am currently working on changing things around so this is a temp item. Maybe I'll see you at the GM muscle meet and we run our Lt1's against eachother. I want to run it a couple more times before it goes back under the knife.:chug: |
For 60 bucks even if it is a knockoff thats a steal. Hell, even if it just lasts a year we are talking a handful of change compared to a legit OEM unit . |

I've never seen a knock off opti priced that cheap. I like how he advises people not to buy an AC/Delco. |

My mods shouldn't matter if there is no money involved. But I'll run either one of your cars the lsx or the lt1

63.00 bucks is cheap for an Opti, i will also agree its not that hard changing one, i've only done it once, but it was easy enough, but 1 hour :eyes:, i say go for it & see what happens, theres been countless people shelling out 250-300 for one & it fails quick, so go for it!! As for his comment on not believing the "Delco Opti" sellers, i won't comment there, it is still e-bag lol, anything goes to make a sale, so wish you good luck, hope it last awhile. |

I also call bs on an opti change in under an hour. Especially if you have airtools and a rather empty engine bay. 1) Drop fans while waiting for coolant to drain. 2) Remove balancer 3) Remove waterpump (6 bolts) 4) Remove opti Reverse to reinstall. |

I'm not going to lie, but I agree with James. Once you've done it a few times and you know all of the tricks it's cake. I COULD do it in an hour, but why the rush? Then again, I don't have an A/C compressor or AIR pump, and my balancer has been off dozens of times, making it slightly easier. Not to mention I have a ramair box which comes off in like 2 seconds. |
