help? alternator bracket removal

Default help? alternator bracket removal

my alternator bracket broke, the cheap *** pot metal crap in the front of the alternator, where the bolt goes into, i removed the alternator and looked around, and im not liking what i see, someone pls tell me this isnt going to be the nightmare i think it is

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but here are the bolts that need to be removed:

Sorry, it's a nightmare. AC, PS, As well as the alternator have to come off.

the alternator is off, the damn pulley has to come off and the p/s pump too....

Jesus Brynnda, when are you going to learn that if you need any LT1 help, to call me.

There are four bolts total, two that go in the passenger side head, and two that go in the block, see the picture in the link.

no ****, but to get to them the pwr steering pump has to come off and so does that damn pulley. i was hoping for a running car tonight

You don't have to pull off the pulley to get the pump off, there are little holes in the pulley that allow you to remove the two pws pump mounting bolts. Like I said...ask me for help.

The P/S pulley does not have to come off you should be able to access the bolts through the holes in the pulley

10,500 For the bird and the bolts are probably 13mm

broke it, in the pic that street racing jackass linked - the very top where it says "alternator mounting" in yellow, the top right, where the bolt goes in is broken in half, ill see if i can get a pic

To get that bracket off you are going to have to take off the A/C compressor if i rember right.
