Ive got 95 z28 that i DD. i think my gas guage is horribly off. When the guage is on 1/4 or less, i go to fill the car up and in only holds about 6 or 7 gallons till its overflowing. i though these cars had a 15 gallon tank, is that correct? If so that means i should have plenty of gas left when the guage reads E i would hope. when the car is filled up it only goes a little past 3/4 tank as well . It gets annoying having to put gas in the car every other day and was wondering if any of yall have similar problems. So i dont want to have to goto the track and have a 3/4 tank of gas when i think im on a 1/4. I just didnt want to take a chance and run out of gas, thanks

my car, totally empty(fuel pump job)took 14.93 gallons topped off which i do not recommend to do.....

Thats what i figured i guess i need to carry a little thing of gas with me an see how far i can run the gas down before it runs out. The poor old fuel pump is dying though so its prob not a good idea to run it out.

I just reset my trip everytime I get gas. Then you can figure out an average distance you travel per tank, and at the same time you can calculate your mileage every tank too, which I find helpful since I DD mine. I'd usually fill up about every 200 miles when it was an auto, and now I usually fill 'er up somewhere between 230-260 miles, and it usually holds 10-12 gallons. Depends a lot on driving habits too
