Default High idle on LT1

Hi guys, on my 94 Z28, the cars idles around 1500 rpm, cold or hot. I've checked the throttle stop screw that the tab on the butterfly linkage would touch, the tab is touching the adjustment screw. Guessing theres some sort of electrical idle control solenoid somewhere? Whatcha think guys?

Dont do that.

If you have a tool that can log the car check your IAC (Idle Air Control) counts, thats what controls the idle speed. Fully open is 0 and fully closed is 160. Warm idle should se 30-50 counts.

i agree 100% you should datalog it and check the IAC.

if not a bad vacuum leak could cause a high idle. that happened after i took a little too much meat off of the stock TB

so check vac lines.

did you do anything to the car recently?
