Default Which catback style (for single cat or dual cat cars) fits up properly to ORYs?

I'm gonna be redoing my exhaust and all the catbacks out there can either be had for the 93-95 single cat cars or the 96-97 dual cat cars. I'm assuming there is a difference in the I-pipe length? Which style of catback will fit most directly w/ LTs + ORY?

If I remember correctly your running an X w/ Sweet Thunders, why the switch?

I had to cut all three catbacks (Flowmaster, Magnaflow, GMMG) that I ran to meet up with my ORY. Its been a long time since I first put a catback on my '95 several years ago but if I remember correctly the y-pipe is shorter than the '96-'97 dual cat. Feel free someone to correct me. The single cat ones will come with a bend that goes where the stock cat is so that would just be extra stuff you dont need to mess with.

OK thanks, that's kinda what I was guessing but I wasn't positive.

I'm ditching the duals + X because it's way too loud and I want more of a "modern" tone to my car.

Correct, 96-02 catbacks all fit fairly easy with an ORY. The 93-95 catbacks has the "S" bend that goes to the back of the converter. The 96-up catbacks should be a direct bolt in for the pacesetter y-pipe.

Thanks!

What exactly is the difference between the LS1 vs. LT1 catbacks anyway, if you're running LTs + ORY?

Very understandable. I love my TD's but I hope to buy another F-Body next year that will have an ORY and Catback to get a more of a refined and cleaner tone thats more bearable for DDing.

the 96-97 LT1 catback is the same as an LS1 catback. The dual cat LT y-pipe ends at the same spot as the LS1 y-pipe, no modifcations needed to swap between an LT or LS car

Good to know also. One wonders why the same Hooker catback is $415 for an LS1 car and $345 for an LT1...
