You've got my attention...curious to see if someone tries this out and if it works. If so I would make the change if it ended up being reliable.

there's a few trade offs, last i talked to mike he said ABS would not work as well as some of the emissions equipment. Other then that should be a very reliable setup

Gauges should work on the swap, most of the gauges on the LT1 F bodys go from the sender directly to the gauge, no computer involved as far as I know. Speedo should work, but I am not 100% positive, and cruise should work if the speedo does, but again, not 100% sure. ABS should work as long as the car does not have traction control. If you have TC you are SOL as far as ABS/TC is concerned. The ABS has no interaction with the engine computer on the LT1 F body's, but TC does!!!
Emissions.... well, I can almost say that stuff like canister purge and air pump should work, but LS1 f body's did not use EGR, but the trucks did, so if you are hell bent on making your EGR work, use a truck cal. Most people that are game for this swap are not concerned about emissions, or are smart enough to know how to work around it in their state/county/community. I know here in Southeast WI, all vehicles '95 and older are exempt from emissions, and the '96 on up just get an OBD 2 inspection, no visual.
Hope this helps!!!

Mike

GM High tech just did an article on an LT1 and they were talking about this. It sounds like a great solution to what can be horrible problem.
