| RED PUNISHER Z | Apr 9, 2009 03:12 PM | Car Won't Start! This is extremely annoying. Here are the symptoms: when I turn the key to the on position, the fans and the fuel pump come on, but when I turn it all the way forward, nothing happens (no "click", don't hear starter crank. Don't think it can be the starter because it's brand new).
Can it be my clutch switch that is not letting my car turn on? It is not VATS. The security light is not on and I've done the resistor to bypass that last time.
My car wiring is a mess from the original owner, so anything is possible. I've gone through and cleaned up as much as I can so far.
I also noticed a couple of times when I was driving around town, after I parked and turned the car off, I had the key all the way to the off position, and pulled the key out and the car stayed on for about 3 to 5 seconds. I don't know why it does that, but that's the only thing that has been going on with my car, and now it does not want to turn on.
What can it be? Is there an ignition solenoid (cylonoid?) on the car somewhere, or what should I be looking at to see what might be causing this? Need help ASAP! |
