Default 93-97 firebird hood ideas

ok i am tired of the factory hood on my car, and it will be going in for paint in the next month. So, i am wanting to replace it before its painted, i like the ideas of a cowl hood but not many people make them. If anyone could post some pics of there hoods and what they look like on the car, any pics of any hood, other than the stock formula with indents. thanks.

I don't have one yet, but I think the stock WS6 hood looks the best on our cars. I've seen everything else and that hood just flows better. I'm not a fan of a cowl on our cars but to each's own. Hopefully someone will post up their pics.

Edit: Not my car but here's the WS6...

Here is one, it's not my car but something for you to look at. I personally also like the stock WS.6 style hood, mine actually goes to get painted at the end of the month.

The WS6 hood is a very good looking hood. I have the 4 inch ram air hood from VFN though and I really like it. I know alot of people think it's too much but I really like it. Like stated above to each his own. You just need to search and find what looks best to you.

VFN said something along the lines of designing a few new hoods for our cars later this summer.... If you have patients I would wait and see what they come up with.

The BEST looking hood for an LT1 bird is the LT1 WS6 hood! Hands Down.

the ws6 hood does look good but like said above, it is used a lot, i am liking the ram air hood on AdsoYo's car that hood looks good on there. i have the formula bumper on mine, so it will look a little different, but it will probably still look good

i would have to say a oem firehawk, very close to a ws6 one but has more of an oval shape at the inlet

aftermarket - i am a fan of the "big block" hoods http://www.americansportscar.com/images/ta-400.jpg

Cowl induction hoods belong on Z28s. The angular edges of the hood do not match the T/As overall round radiused lines.

i have the big block hood on my car. i h8 it. yea it doesnt look bad but the workmanship is horrible. the top is coming detached from the bottom, its cracking around the inlets, it shakes, one side is higher than the other. id much rather have a ws6 hood.

The reason I bought my own aftermarket version of this hood was to give myself an LS1 looking WS6. The difference being, I wanted that semi-muscular "bad ***" look on my car even though I didn't really want the LS1 WS6. The bi-headlight set-up was a bit much and then the LS1 WS6 was styled too "muscular" versus that sleek sharp "aerodynamic" look of the LT1 Firebirds.

This hood is a happy blend for those who want their cars to look like the unexpected love child of an LT1 WS6 and an LS1 WS6!

I think the lt1 ws6 hood is nice. Granted I bought an oem one in late 2009 with the oem box. Its been sitting against this wall since then. Would help if I got the car running. But now I am debating a full part out and going and buying a C5 Corvette.

Maybe one day this will live on a car again.
