Default Gauge cluster swap

had a 99 Z28 and i really preferred that gauge cluster compared to my '94 hawk...the camaro cluster not only had the digital odo/trip....but just looks a lot less "early 90's" ish...haha

i know the LS1/ODBII gauge clusters are pinned differently than the 93-97 f-bodys. can i plug and play a 97 camaro (the only ODBI "new style" f-body gauge cluster"...firebirds didnt switch to the new cluster until 98 when they also got LS1/OBDII.

neways..i just want to swap em out..i'll try to find one at least close to my mileage on it....i'm not interested in re-pinning anything...its not worth THAT much trouble to me

Hi,
The 97 Firebird/Trans am have the digital odometer and they are direct swap into your 94,but only the 97 model will work so I have read, the 97 cluster will plug right in.I recently put a 97 Trans am cluster with the digital odometer in my 94 Bird and it works great, the only problem I had was the TCS light and the Seat Belt light were on all the time,I took the circuit board off the cluster and un-soldered the LED for the TCS and the Seat Belt.I recommend the upgrade, the 97 cluster looks so much better.
