M1 thins too quick I've had crap psi for awhile now and am happy with my PP 20w40 no engine noise noticed a good increase in psi and stays that way for a good 2.5k where as m1 would start to creep down around 1.5 or so

Some syrup like 20w-50 might help. Just keep driving it and don't rev it more than 3000 rpm, should be fine

Keep in mind that the GM spec for oil pressure is around 6psi at idle and 10psi for every 1,000rpm above that. If you're just under the 1/4 mark that's actually normal.

And if you're having to use oil that thick just to keep the pressure within stock limits, something is wrong. A thicker oil also puts more stress on the oil pump - something to consider.

i ran my car for along time with skeptical oil psi. i ended up burning up a set of rockers i had on the car when i built up my engine i went with a high psi standard volume melling. i love 35 psi hot idle

if your not to comfortable with oil psi that low (neither was i) you could always install a GM white spring to kick the psi up at idle.
