Default Thinking about Going to DUals with an X Pipe how about these?

http://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/1215807709.html

I have been batting around the idea of going to duals but I do not want louder than holy hell exhaust. I want it the way it is now or sim.
(I have 3" Exhaust with the Hooker Catback its perfect)

I would like to gain the extra power but it would seem that the only way to keep the noise down would be to have a muffler on each side.

I saw that and thought it might be what I am looking for. I am trying to find pics of that style exhaust on a camaro but for 80.00 its not a bad starting point I just need to find set of Magnaflows etc I can swap the mufflers out with most likely.

What does everyone else know/think?

My full plan would be 2.5 for each side, going into an x-pipe and then out the back.

I believe that's a C5 Exhaust, how restrictive is it or should I be fine that way compared to what I have? I would just end up selling my current y-pipe and exhaust when I got this one done.

You won't find a pic of that on a camaro because that looks exactly like a factory covette system. If you like the exhaust you have but want the performance why not through some cutouts in it?

I was told that while cut outs will help the X-Pipe would give me more of a boost than cut outs would.

although those do look like they are for a corvette... it says that he had this made for his 96 camaro. My guess is that it is for a center mount exhaust.

This will add a lot of weight. best bet would be 2.5 exhaust off the headers into the x-pipe and then 2 small mufflers (i.e. bullets) then dumped.

I dont see how that will fit an f-body and NOT destroy the rear ground clearance.

That looks like a LOT of extra weight. 2 mufflers? I've got one muffler which is half the size of one of those..
