ok i have a 93 camaro do i have to have an opti for that year or will 94 - 97 work to ....wat are my options thanks

im just trying to find out if the 93 is diff from the rest i ...i have a few around but from a 97

I have read on here where others have done it with no problems. Just cap off the vent or somethin. Try a search on this site. If not, I'm sure someone will chime in who has done it.

93-94 are the same 95-97 are different. there driven by the cam dowel pin where as the 93-94 is driven by a splined shaft that fits into the center of the cam timing gear.

You can't directly swap a 93-94 opti with a 95-97. The drives are different.

isnt there an upgrade that gets away from the opti entirely? i have herd of it but i have no idea what its called...
