Well, it's definitely passed it's prime. Staged up, didn't heat the tires(tire) and then did a smokey and the bandit impersonation down the track. Promptly got kicked off for dropping oil. (Yes, I was one of THOSE guys.)
I'm a little torn. The engine still runs well but it likes to drop oil @ WOT apparently. The tranny still shifts awesome. Car will idle all day in 100 degree weather with the A/C on. Interior is still pristine and aside from some minor UV damage on the plastic exterior, the paint is still great. I'd like to put some speed in it but I'm still just hanging on maybe just enjoying it for what it is. I have no doubt I could turn this car into a drag monster if I wanted to.
Car has 155K miles on it now.
What would it run me to do a basic rebuild on this car?

I have not had any particular issues with oil leaks. Sure the oil cooler lines have gotten old and needed reclamping and I screwed up a WP drive seal and a few other things but I have owned my sedan since early 2000 and currently own 2 wagons as well, have put a combined over 200K miles on these cars, their current total milages range from 145K on the "low miler" to 227K on the high miler.
