Default Low RPM/Throttle Hesitation

I just got this '95 Z28 M6 and it seems to have a hesitation under very low throttle at lower RPMs. I can let off the gas and press a little harder and it will skip the hesitation and just go. I replaced the plugs thinking they might be it, since it had a granatelli maf and was running a little rich (also has a brand new GM 3" maf as of today). Unfortunately, it still does the hesitation. At mid-WOT, it pulls hard with no miss or hesitation. SOMETIMES, it throws a CEL for an O2 sensor, but it's a random occurence... could this be causing it?

Thanks for any help!

I was going to say that it could be your o2's. That would certainly be high on the list of things to replace on a recently bought used fbody.

Also check your fuel pressure and replace your fuel filter.

Very possible, but you want to troubleshoot everything before you jump on the opti.
Even if it is the opti, replaceing the opti is not a big deal.

Exactly. Just the cost of opti and my current situation isn't ideal. lol.

The guy I got the car from is giving me an O2 sensor he bought for it, I'll change the fuel filter... that should be relatively cheap.
