Low oil pressure. Maybe not?

Low oil pressure. Maybe not? Well ever since I bought my car 3 yrs ago it had very low oil pressure. Startup was like 30psi once warm maybe 20psi. So I was waiting for it to finally go spin a bearing or loose all oil pressure. Well recently did the cam swap and ended up breaking the wire to the oil pressure sensors instead of repairing it I just put a autometer gauge on it.
Well now I have about 55-60psi at crank and 45psi idling once warm. So maybe the oil pressure sensor was just going out I heard over time the diaphragm stretches and gives wrong readings. Anyone else ever have this happen? I am glad I have good oil pressure though.
