Bad FPR? Idle Pressure is 47psi. Vacuum line off pressure is 52psi.

Bad FPR? Idle Pressure is 47psi. Vacuum line off pressure is 52psi.

My car starting running like crap and my air/fuel gauge starting leaning out pretty bad. When I have my car at idle fuel pressure is at 47psi, but when I simulated WOT by taking the vacuum line off the FPR it went up to 52psi. Is this correct or is my FPR bad?

Removing vacuum from the fuel pressure regulator is suppose to cause the fuel pressure increase.

no vacuum line will simulate WOT fuel pressure

best is to watch fuel pressure under a real load, in park/neutral with the vacuum line off isn't supplying a true load on the fuel system

what pump do you have in your car?
