whats the expected HP gain if...

...deleting A/C and PS by using the alternator relocating horse-shoe shaped bracket ?

Not much, you gain more with weight reduction and less the serpintine system has to work with.

z_speedfreak 08-19-2009 01:27 PM

yeah the a/c is on a clutch but does weigh a bit but theres no way I'd delete it if I was in bahrain imo

litch2004 08-19-2009 02:03 PM

hell no my parents live over there and they said it was like 126 out there. f that it is bad enough living down here in southeast texas with no a/c

robsquikz28 08-19-2009 02:19 PM

Yep they did a dyno run somewhere and I dont remeber where it is. But they did pick up about 2 hp throughout the entire run w/o running the a/c and p/s. But fwiw the hp gain is not what you need to worry about, its the weight reduction and cleaner engine bay, IMO

well yeah it is hot as hell in here in the summer but tats only for like 2 months max. i dont really drive my car that much in the mid of summer, maybe few miles in the weekend, ive got my other DD :P

i thought the delete would have a decent performance gain but for a couple of HP i guess its not worth it,,,,, A/C has to go anyway i already got the delete pully but ill keep the PS for now

litch2004 08-19-2009 06:50 PM

the only real gain to this like everyone is saying is the weight reduction. But dont catch the weight reduction bug, once you have it it is hard as hell to get rid of

Counted Out 08-19-2009 06:53 PM

I would never, ever, EVERRRRR take a working A/C out of any car.
