Default intake leak questions..

so i'm replacing my intake gasket here in the next couple of days, and i'm wondering if it would be beneficial to put some heat wrap on the egr pipe?

Unbolt it from the passenger side exhaust manifold. Then unbolt the line on the back of the intake, and then the valve itself. Just buy the 3 plates and you're good to go I believe you will have to have the code tuned out on the 97, but my 95 didn't throw a code.

No need for wrap, no need to remove. Just use "The Right Stuff" to seal up the front and rear of the manifold.

i don't want to delete it because i don't want to have to tune it out since it's obd2
so i have some extra exhaust wrap laying around.. should i wrap the pipe just for extra insurance, and i've read all the tutorials on how to do the intake gasket replace.. that's not what i'm asking.
