I have a set of 30 lb red tops that I was planning on using for my 24x 355 le2 setup and I'm thinking about possibly adding nitrous to the mix. Will the 30 lb red tops cut it or should I just go for some 42 lb green tops in case I do go with nitrous? I did notice that there is a similar post already but it has 2 different answers.

That depends, are we talking wet or dry shot? A wet shot should be okay with 30s. 42s would probably be needed for a dry shot depending on size.

It would be a 150-200 wet shot

Then you're good with the SVO 30's. They will be plenty for any LE2 setup.

Assuming you're not running e85 its plenty for the setup
