93 computer conversion Q's I have a 93 lt1 car, and I want to convert it to a 94-95 pcm. Is this a plug and play deal under the dash? I know I'll need an engine harness and PCM...what else? |
you'll need the MAF too i would assume. |

Very interested in this as well. Any cons to this conversion? |
I did this conversion on my old 93. You need: 94-95 style harness, PCM, MAF, Heated O2 sensors (93 O2's are non-heated and will not work), and whatever you plan to do with your opti (leave it or convert it to vented....either will work). I did it about 10 years ago, and if I recall correctly it was pretty much plug and play. Jason |
From what I've seen, complete and unhacked wiring harnesses are like gold and cost as much... |
Funny, I have one forsale for $80 shipped and have had zero interest! |

searching for info on this swap and found this ol'thread. I am still curious though, other than the labor involved, are there any drawbacks to this swap? |

Been thinking about this swap too, but I might just buy the 94-95 harness and do the 24x setup at the same time because sometime in the future I want to boost the car and want tuning to be simpler and more precise. |
