Stock the Cobalt runs a 14.0 in 1/4 mile

When i ran mine my best was a 14.2 1/4 mile @ 104 MPH

The Camaro My Best was a 13.5 in 1.4 mile at 104 MPH

The Cobalt feels faster than the Z28.

The Cobalt SS comes stock 260 HP and 260 TQ im going to throw on the new GM stage 1 kit the the Cobalt for $450 dollars and i should be up to 280 HP and 320 TQ.

Those newer turbocharged balts are no joke w/ a few mods/flash...wouldnt take much to blow a bolt on LT1 away...congrats on the new car.

Ive been watching these motor run @ Etown since they came in the 92 vette's and your LT1 is certainly far from the norm.Your average bolt on LT1 (M6) runs lower 13's....same w/ a auto. Thats what I was making the comparison w/. Once in a blue you'll see a high 12....Sure a higher stalled car can hit 12's w/ traction. When these balts 1st came out I believe someone ran one to a 13.2 w/ a flash/intake/catback on streets. Havent really payed attention to them since but im sure some have since ran faster.

Yeah the new LNF Cobalts are beasts. I'd consider buying one myself but I just can't get over how lame a 4cyl sounds, even with the lovely turbo whistle...

Eh.. I had fun with my supercharged car but it hasnt held up for me very well.. That and the transmissions are weak. No one rebuilds them. I have had to put one in my car.. Congrats though! Hahn Racecraft took there stock 09ss and put a cat back, their charge piping, and a tune and ran a 13.2 on street tires!

Yeah I will probably buy another LT1 down the road and build it up when i have plenty of money to do it! I commute a lot and the LT1 was sucking on gas.

I love the LT1 and liked the fact i didnt have a car payment but i couldnt keep up with the ongoing problems with the car and having to dump more and more money into it every month to keep it going.

I never liked car payments but then i did research on the Cobalt SS and went and test drove it and it was over after that. I paid 25,000 out the door that was including GAP insurance and an extended warranty so im happy.

I lined up against a Cobalt SS at Byron Dragway a couple years ago and lost, he ran high 12s. It was humbling but what are you going to do? 24lbs of boost would make anything fast. These certainly aren't the OLD days. lol
