This car is awesome. Is that 11.0 pass on nitrous?

flyinZ Nov 26, 2009 08:34 PM

I believe that was an N/A pass..

EMiNENT13 Nov 26, 2009 09:07 PM

Stock short block LT1, h/c/i,4l60e,4000 stall,4.10 w/ stock 10bolt. This new best was an n/a pass. I think it's a record holder.

BOLO Nov 26, 2009 09:24 PM

Thanks again Brian(EMiNENT13) for another awesome little vid.

I'm so happy with the car running this quick. I'm very sure a new best on spray would have been accomplished, but the stock 10 bolt could not keep up. Theres always next season.

Lloyd Elliott's work should really be recognized here. He really knows his work. Ion Soltan the Madtuner did a great job tuning the car@ Speed Inc's dyno. And last, but not the least, Larry for recommending them to me to look into.

Dave's Trans and 4000 stall Rocks!

airfix Nov 26, 2009 10:33 PM

What kinda power does this car make? How much does it weigh?

BOLO Nov 26, 2009 10:50 PM

When it was dyno tuned, it made approx. 400 rwhp. To me the numbers don't really mean much. It's at the track that matters more. The car was never weighed. Some weight reductions, but nothing extreme.

Hackscamaro Nov 26, 2009 10:52 PM

what kind of suspension is on this car?

Stock kmember and u/l control arms, qa1's shocks and springs up front. CE 3way shocks, stock springs(1coil cut) in rear. Subframe connectors,Spohn t/a, lower control arms, panhard bar, 1" rear sway bar. Very basic and budgeted.:)

Looking at the "Fastest list" I'm not sure if it would be a record holder? Maybe it is as the one high 10 second stock bottomend car is sporting LT4 heads. Plus there are other forums and people that never even post up on any sites at all, so who knows? With that being said, Butch now has the car I would most like to copy. If it isn't the stock bottomend record holder I believe it is less than 2 tenths off of the info I have seen so far. That is pretty impressive for the first time out with the new set-up.
I am dissapointed with myself for not going with that Sun. It would have been nice to see the car run in person. I would also like to say that you EMiNENT13 have some very good video and editing skills. Maybe one day when my turd is running better I could hire you for a little video work.
Congrats again Butch, you have now raised the bar for the rest of us stock bottomend users.

Brian, I think it was 2 yrs. ago at Byron, but yes I do remember meeting you. Thanks for letting me know your up for pics and a vid. I'll get it touch with you next summer and see when your available. Hopefully during another Speed Inc. outing. About a month back or so there were a little over 50 cars at Speeds reserved lanes at Byron. Thanks, Rick.

joeZ96 Nov 27, 2009 05:09 PM

Wow, I did not realize you converted to solid roller. Glad to hear the stock bottom end is hanging in there with what I assume is some pretty good RPMs. Congrats again. Beautiful car and killer, simple setup.

Agreed all around (although 10.75 @ 125 is far from being a turd in my book Rick :)).

BOLO Nov 27, 2009 05:46 PM

Thanks Rick. You don't want to copy, Rick. You want to be FASTER!

ThreeHonks: Nothing special,StockLT1 heads(LE2 specs porting),LS1 valves, LE custom mild s/r 247/255 106lsa, Stock LT1 intake ported by Speed Inc. No secrets here.

Thanks Larry. This car wouldn't be at this stage without you and Speed Inc.

Speed#1: Thanks. I love it. And can't wait next season.

Thanks Joe. Knock on wood it's holding up on 6800 rpm shift points.

ThreeHonks Nov 27, 2009 07:01 PM

wow thats a pretty tight LSA! Looks to be working out pretty good for ya though, congrats! another question for you... what lifters and rocker arms did u chose to run with your solid roller?

BOLO Nov 27, 2009 07:12 PM

s/r lifters by Howards Cams, Comp Pro Magnums 1.6 RR's, dual s/r springs-240 lbs seat,550lbs open by Bullet Cams. As mentioned, simple and basic.
