Project [X] 10 Second Camaro I would like to introduce you gents to my build thread... The X Project.
And so my project has begun.. by spring 2010 I hope to have a 10 second N/A (ok maybe a small shot) 6 Speed Camaro.
So grab some coffee, and follow me on my journey:
Christmas just came early for me:
388 All forged (scat crank - teflon coated, eagle rods) rotating assembly with SRP forged pistons.
6 Quart Oil Pan
Spare 6 Speed ready to go in for stage 2 rebuild, CC 1.6RR 7/16 Rockers, Chromoly Pushrods, LS7 lifters ( i think LS7).. had a cc306 cam but sold it.. wasnt a cam I needed for this build.
Still need Head/Cam combo.. input please on this. Car is going to be gutted this winter, suspension going to be re done.
Mods so far: UMI lower control arms/panhard/strut tower brace. Spohn swaybars, Pacesetter Longtubes, Spec Stage 3 Clutch (new) and some other goodies. Just picked up a 9inch rear end with 4.10 gears

Thanks guys, I picked up the parts you see in the pics and some other stuff for $2500, block was assembled. Now this will take a few months getting the car ready and what not so itll be a slow but sure journey. I think i will got AI 200cc heads/cam but wont get that till tax return time.. in the mean time i need to get some smaller things taken care of so enlighten me on some motor questions:
What gasket set should I get?
What timing gear/chain should i use?
What Oil Pump?
Should I go electric Water Pump?

EWP(req for 3145)
It will take a lot of dialing in and a competent driver to run 10s NA in a 6sp.
