Va Speed. We'd like to apologize.......

It has come to our attention as of late, that our customer service has been, well, lacking, to put it mildly.

I don't know how many of you reading this have had a bad personal experience with any of our crew, but I would like to say if you have, please don't take it as a representation of our business ideals. While we strive for technical perfection, we understand that customer relations is just as important, if not more.

If it were at all possible, Shawn and I would handle all customer interactions. But, that's not possible, so we've had to depend on our front counter guys to do that, and it's proven to be very problematic.

We want everyone to understand, we're trying to rectify the problems, and we're in the process of a personnel change over that we hope will do the trick. Please bear with us while we go through these growing pains. If you've done business with us before, and for whatever reason have been turned off by your experience, I ask you to give us another try.

hey ed, your mail box is full. i used the link on your site and it got bounced back.

grn95t/a Dec 7, 2009 04:42 PM

sorry to hear of the issues ed, and i agree 110%! give them another try, don't let a couple of knuckle heads on the front counter turn you away from a great shop.

BizZzatch350 Dec 7, 2009 05:14 PM

A lot of big shops have had the same issues, it happens, how you correct it is what matters. Being proactive like this is a good step

edcmat-l1 Dec 7, 2009 05:39 PM

Thanks guys.

Im not even a customer but Ed gave me some great info/help and really seems to want to help customers! That sux a counter kid can affect a company to the point they make a public appology!

Thunder Racing won't even reply to customer inquiries.

Phew, and to think I was considering buying things from them!

I give credit to VA Speed for at least manning up to the problem.

My dad and I had a HORRIBLE experience with our boat this summer. HORRIBLE customer service! They "lost" our work order 5 times... Took 2-1/2 months for them to order a part and clean the carb.. The management was horrible about doing what they said they'd do too... Its sad how pathetic some businesses are, and then wonder why they are on the verge of bankruptcy.

Sorry, off on a rant there; but best of luck to VA Speed. Ed sounds like he wants to make things right

I ordered a Wolfe 6-pt. from them on November 16th, and haven't heard anything since.

Really I would agree that anyone that's had issues should put it behind. There are sometimes growing pains with shops while things get sorted out. Hopefully I'll be over for some dyno pulls soon :)

I dont have a dog in the fight but I think it's awesome when a vendor comes on here and apologizes for recognized bad customer service...... It's quite refreshing. I used to live in Virginia near Langley AFB and if I still did I would be going nowhere else besides VA Speed for all my stuff....

keep it up guys cause stuff like this if what makes businesses great... it's sad to hear that Thunder Racing has gotten a bad rap. They used to be the shit....
