They are called FFI Custom. Apparently they're only on ebay. They don't always have this hood available. I took a bit of a risk going with a no-namer but I looked at the feedback and it seemed their hoods were good quality, need a lot of body work to get straight and fiberglass is very frustrating to work on, but they're good. Price was really low too, not as low as some others I've heard about falling apart.

I got a VFN sunoco a while back and love it. Took a little bit of work to make it close to perfect but I think it was well worth it. I'll try to find a pic...

I thought I was the only one with a "wavy fitting" glastek hood. Guess its all of them I have a 3inch cowl hood.

still a fan of the orginal style hood clean lines. harwood oem style of course to shed some pounds gm did i right the first time . but if i had to change i would go with Ss style or harwood 2.5 inch ribbed . just my opinion if it counts. which it doesnt.

Hey:

fastfatboy

I think that the top wide one from ebay hoods4sale looks like poo poo.

I think that 4" cowl one from them looks very good, and would be easy to get rid of that ridge, by grinding the ridge flat, re enforce the underside with fiberglass sheets, fill in any gaps, grind the cowl smooth, and that would be a unique look, no ridge, great price, and give you lots of options under the hood. seems that is the winner to me, but just my opinion (JMO).

up22 makes a cool 3 1/4" and 4 1/2" cowl with no rib... plus it keeps the same lines as the stock hood "scoops" rather than just being flat...

How is the quality of the hood? Please PM me when you get it on and tell me how it fits.

This is not my car, i hope the owner wont mind. I own this hood also. Not a lot of raise on the cowl, little more street than strip. Forgot to mention the pin on hood weighs 12#..

I feel bad since you guys all have to have the VFN stuff shipped.......Everytime we've bought something from them it's a 15 min drive. It usually takes longer to get it in the truck then it does to get home.

I plan on getting my hood painted very soon and I hope it's easy to paint. I had to trim it to fit and did it myself and believe me i'm no body man....

And I hear you on the truck shipping.. It sucked to pay 300 for a hood and like 200 to ship it... LOL
