Car won't start and started smoking

I went to start my 95 lt1 and I just got a clicking sound and smoke came from the pass side header. What would cause the smoke?

You sure it was from the Header and not the Starter if all you got was clicking?

Maybe your Starter just ate shit.

The smoke came from the pass side, it was dark really couldnt see. Would the starter smoke like that?

Yea if it decided to self destruct, or a wire grounded out. Does your Gauges twitch and FP prime when you turn the Key?
