driveshaft question

got a couple questions guys. are the lengths between the auto tranny driveshafts and the manual any different? can you use a auto driveshaft with a manual? what about the v6 cars and we use their drivelines? thanks guys

Auto and 6-speeds are the same not sure about the v6 ones though

I thought the V6s had some stupid ass 2 pc DS??

the_merv 03-08-2010 01:08 PM

There are V6 cars out there with 2-piece Drive Shafts..they are NOT all interchangeable.

RamAir95TA 03-08-2010 01:39 PM

It goes without saying that all one-piece shafts from 82 and up fit.

And not all V6 cars had 2-piece shafts. Those V6 cars with the Y87 package received one piece units.

Speaking of drive shafts, I put in a new PST 3.5 alum DS, so my Strange 3" steel DS is for sale. Fits M6/A4 with S60 rear end.
