So Who's Afraid Of An LS1?

I have already posted this in my "Stock Internals" thread, but felt it was too good to not highlight. This weekend a N/A LT1 with stock pistons, stock rockers, stock rods, STOCK CAM, and Stock Eliminator legal heads ran 7.09 @ 94 mph!! (3030 lbs)

Better yet, it has an untouched stock intake and throttle body and uses 19 lb injectors!! (At 50 psi)

The car also passed IHRA tech for A/FIA and ran under the 7.25 index!

Did I mention that it was built entirely by teenagers? Am I bragging on them? Heck yeah!!

Congratulation to Jason, Caleb, Stephen and all the others who helped along the way. YOU ROCK!!

Nope.This is an LT1 car. The NHRA/IHRA lists the LT1 for 1998!

I mean a bone-stock factory cam from a junk yard motor! (and, yes, we did check it)

I need to post video. This car idles around like a pick-up with the mufflers cut off!

well thats bad ass then. Just shows what a killer set of heads and a car that is set up correctly can do.

is that the IAT on the bracket in front of the TB? Running DFI setup?

The heads flowed betwean 205-210 cfm, hardly killer. But, the car is pretty trick!

Yes. We have since switched to a 1998 Ram Air set-up. The car has an Accell Gen 7 DFI.
