I dunno about mighty mend, crazy glue can hold a grown man by his helmet to an I-beam. I would look into that.

You can also drill and tap the bottom plate and put a set screw in it. Didn't think to mention that before.

Couple more questions guys.

Will the K-member lower at all with the bottoms of the struts bolted to the a-arms?
Any tips for getting the motor mounts back together when re-asssembly happens. I pulled the two big bolts out BTW.

New pickup is welded on. Problem solved.

The pickup that did fall off is the original piece. I remeber when I installed it years ago, it did not require a press fit to put in the Melling 10554 pump, it just slipped in. I brazed a small spot to hold it in place till a couple of tack welds could be applied. Obviously not a very smart move on my part here.

I think the pickup might have benn a little on the low side and recently I had the jack under the pan and I must have flexed the pan and made contact with the pickup and broke it loose.

The new pickup is very tight pressed in and welded all the way around and it set between 3/8" and 1/2" off the floor of the pan so I cant see this happening again.

No more pressure drop under herd braking but i still have the pressure drop under WOT hard accelaration around 4-5K RPM. I also had that before the pickup fell off too. I am going to start working on that next.
