I have stock manifolds for now. I thought the back two would be the pains but those went actually easy. The stupid AIR line is right in the way.

Do you have headers? I remember that was a pain in the ***. Makes it ten times harder if you have a/c. I remember using a combination of a 5/8 spark plug socket, a universal joint and an extension. I now have an a/c delete pulley and getting to that plug from the front (through where the compressor used to be) is cake!

Did you remove the alternator? Takes about 10 minutes to pull it and makes #2 much easer to reach. Unbolt the air tube from the exhause header if needed, then bolt it back up.

Alt has been out. I was looking at the AIR line and not sure if removing it from manifold will help. Wish to God I could rip that crap out.

It's not much help now I'm sure but I use a cut spark plug socket and put a wrench over it.

Well i got it. Now this is funny, I have all the service records from the original owner and the plugs had been changed along the line. The #2 plug was not changed lol. It was the stock plug which was totally different from the others AND it was gapped @.80 Guess the dealer didn't want to mess with this one when they did the others lol

Yea wow thats not a suprise to me. Even at the dealers there are some dumb *** hacks. Had a chevy dealer bend both of my lower control arms when I took the control arms to them to change the lower ball joints. LOL yea... they didn't cover the damage. had to go to a junk yard and pull one for 40 bucks....Uhg I hate the pull a parts around here, they are so expensive.

That's a common story with these cars. Just another reason (other than cost savings) to do it yourself. Then you have the peace of mind knowing that what you wanted actually got done, plus the money saved will buy a lot of band-aids and neosporin for your hands and forearms.

Oh, and if you thought changing plugs was bad, try changing wires and route them in the stock locations. I did it a year ago and I still have scabs!!
