What oil R u running with 383/forceinduction?

Default What oil R u running with 383/forceinduction?

Just wondering what weight/oil some people are running in there 383 lt1 with force induction. I been having issues with mine. I been running vr1 20w/50 --

Whatever weight the motor clearances need. Talk to your engine builder.

What kind of problems? I run that same oil. But as Dustin said check with your engine builder, mine rec'd the VR1 20-50

I'm running the same oil. It's just my first initial start-up I get no oil press. reading for 5 seconds - my check gauge light pops on. I'm guessing because of the thick oil. Only does that on the first start-up after driving it will pop up. I was told 15w40 would help me better. Might try that.

I would check with engine builder. Do you know how he set up your clearnaces. Mine were set up on the loose side so I could spin to 7000 rpm all day long, thats why my builder told me to run the VR1
