LT1's?

Do you guys feel like outcasts being stuck on this small section? I'm just curious looking at maybe getting an LT1 or LS1....:emb:

I love my Lt1 it is so disrespected by most, yet they are terrific motors! Underdogs ftw!

ElkySS Apr 27, 2010 05:13 PM

this one section is more than enough. i mean its ls1tech not lt1tech. but i love my lt1. ls1 guys, mustang guys, vette guys, they all hate loosing to an lt1 because of its reputation. sure it does take a little knowledge to do it right but that just makes it better

I love my LT1 and prefer it to my old LS1, plus it will put the smack down on 90% of the LS1s on here.

chavez885 Apr 27, 2010 05:36 PM

I feel like an outcast with my LT1 turd :*(

Very generous.

I love my LT1, but you can't argue with a better design at resonable costs. That is why I will soon be swapping in a LS3 into my car. A LTx heads would be hard pressed at best to match the air flow of the LS3 heads for the price. R&D over the years will always yeild better result.

In the mean time I love seeing the surprise on other peoples faces when they find out that I am not spraying, it's just a cam-only LT1. :D

I'm relatively new to this specific forum but do not feel like an outcast at all. This side gets pretty good traffic.

Do I look the look of a 98-02 WS6 over my 97 WS6? Yeah. Would I regret selling my first baby that I can build for pretty damn cheap? Hell yeah.

Thats how I think of it. My car was my first real car that had a sense of balls. I have grown too attached to her to ever want to part ways.

You will meet a lot of great guys in this section. Some that you don't care for are easily outmatched by how many good guys you'll meet and get advice from

I personally like the look of lt1 ss/ws6's better than the 98-02s....

To each is their own. I like the 98-02 WS6 look better for Trans Ams but for Camaros I like the 93-97 Look better

Well Ive owned a 98 ws6(black) my current 95 Formula(ws6 formula look-a-like), a silver 95 formula stock looking, and a 95 z28 purple. I think my 95 Formy looks just as good as my ws6...

stevo9389 Apr 27, 2010 08:35 PM

nah, not at all. besides this isn't the only LT1 hangout.

sslateron Apr 27, 2010 08:38 PM

Found a screaming deal on a 97 z so just wondering.

Buy it buddy!

No real outcast feeling, were all in the f-body family. Any car can be made fast just takes time and money. Most people who badmouth LT1s have either never owned one or are a 16 year old kid. We don't have it as bad as many people think or say.

zlicious94 Apr 27, 2010 10:01 PM

I love my lt1! They are making quite a comeback I think.

sslateron Apr 27, 2010 10:18 PM

:hijack: Bump for a good thread! lol This Z is no slouch. It took a 03 Cobra with an intake, and full exaust.

yeah man and if you know how drive it its better! I took an LS1 camaro ugly the other day on the high way by almost a full car and all i have is straight pipes, free mods, and well its an old b4c package but none the less. Lt1's are very strong motors they can take alot of abuse i love my barney LT1 :) lt1's are TORQUE-IER than ls1's

sslateron Apr 27, 2010 11:09 PM

Could this hopped up LT1, take a new Cayman S (320)?
