Can LPP headers be polished or will it just burn off ?
 

I got some LPP but was wondering if its even worth shining them up

Losing battle. Learn to love your stainless or coat them.

stainless changes to golds and purples when heat is applied. Nothing you can do about it.

I used to tig weld stainless a lot at work, the colors that come after you heat it are beautiful. We would always have to polish it after it was cool so when it left out the door it wasnt rainbow colored.

Pony up and ceramic coat them. They will last longer, provide an improvement in underhood temperatures and look better in the long run.
