Id pick up one AI/LE's custom grinds. The 226/234 should do the trick. Or the cc503(224/230)

timing chain, at least a new stock one. Valvetrain parts(pushrods, lifters, etc) LT4 HD would be nice but I am guessing you on a budget.

ive always liked the 306. youll see alot of people say its outdated technology which is kinda true but it makes good power with stock heads and it responds well to the giggle gas.

I have ran both the 224/236LE and a CC306 both worked great behind a stalled auto. The 224 is more of street N/A cam where the Cc306 is more street/strip for higher rpm and loves n2o. My car ran 11.61@117mph with the 224 on motor with LE1's. Then with bigger valves, more portwork and CC306 it ran 11.20@120.8mph N/A with 3.42's in the 10bolt! It also ran 10.17@134mph on 175HP n2o. I have also helped a friend with a CC 305 220/230 really nice driver camand makes good midrange power, full weight car ran 12.10@110mph. The bigger the cam, the more converter you can use so you have to decide whats acceptable and go from there.

cc503 is the most optimal cam for stock heads.

The lift/duration combination uses up every bit of the stock head's potential. The cam still is very driveable and has an awesome power band.

Thats the good part of our forum you have many people that have used other product and can give an account of how their combo worked out. I really suggest reading TOP BUILDERS LPE,TPIS etc. All their stuff is easily streetable, maintain emissions on most applications(if thats an issue)and are quite driveable aswell as dependable. Nitrous is an awesome addition to an Lt1 well anything that has a combustable engine.....
Every cam mentioned so far is a good choice you have to select the one that best suits your needs along with your supporting mods...

Dude this has been BEAT TO DEATH.

You are never going to get one straight answer from anyone.

If I had to buy an off the shelf cam it would be the Lunati 219 cam.

The baby cam we designed for my car will soon be going 12.90s at extreme DA (7500+) with a 6 speed full weight car. I regularly walk on cars with ported heads and lots more done.

Another cam we did similar to mine put down 401 RWHP with a set of LE2 heads.

I feel I can design something better than the shelf stuff for a cam only setup, but there are a lot of good cams out there you can run and make good power as well.

The one mistake people make is going too big. The stock heads dont complement too big of a cam.

If you want to go fast, keep the cam small duration wise, and concentrate on making the rest of the car work.
