dynomax bullet guys

i have decided to ditch my cat back for a dynomax bullet with a turn down, my question is this: are you guys running the 12 inch or 18 inch bullet?

TheTransporter69 07-11-2010 07:37 PM

I have the 18.25" in my car, but i don't have a turn down i have a dynomouth catback

how do you like it?

I am runnng a summit 2.5 x pipe with dual dynomax bullets dumped before the rear axle and they sound great..makes it sound like I have a big block under the hood..

I like it for the most part but mines extra loud, i have long tubes into a 3" ORY and its almost to loud, i got a damn ticket back in may, so im gonna get some cats added or do something different i think to quiet it down. But the loudness isnt really related to the dynomax bullet, so i think its a good product.

I have this same setup. It sounds great at WOT! But the sound while cruising is getting old to me. With the Edge converter my car sounds like it has a powerglide when I take off normal.

matt your car sounds amazing, i think im going to go with the 12 inch one, i have a cutout and its always open so my cat back is pointless, i want duels but its alot cheaper to just throw a bullet on the y pipe

I run two 12" Bullets on my x-pipe dumped before the axle. Sounds good but gets annoying when you have a loose stall.

BTW, the longer the muffler the quieter it will be.

LT's, 3" X setup that dumps at the rear axle. They are the 18" ones. Here's a vid of my 96 when it was stock motor with just this exhaust :

96 ss with 3" x-pipe setup with 18" bullets dumped

Dont know if this link will work but, here's the SAME exhaust on the new car I'm still fixing up. Forgive how ratty it looks, This vid was taken at a gas station for the first fillup on the first night I got it running.

new car with same exhaust as first vid

^Eric your car sounds good too, thanks for all of the imput guys, now im thinkin that i might just keep it how it is for a while and save some extra money to get duels since thats what i really want

hyperzone 07-12-2010 05:06 PM

my only drawback to duals (the way I have'em) is clearance/space underneath the car, and although it grabs good attention and compliments, the loudness does get annoying occasionally

devonsZ28 07-12-2010 05:15 PM

^hopefully ill have a truck soon so the z will be driven alot less so i think ill be okay with the loudness

pillarpod 07-12-2010 08:10 PM

i have the 12in and love it :)

I have 12's and I like them for the most part. If I'm going down the interstate it can get a little annoying....
