355 or 383???? So I have to rebuild the bottom end. I am trying to weigh the cost/benefits of both 355/383. I want to get forged rods and pistons.. Any recommendations on parts??? I currently have afr 190cc heads w/ 145# springs. Im planning on getting an XFI cam and 1.6 rr's. Also what size injectors would i need to get?? Do I need to get a ajustable regulator and or put in a bigger fuel pump? |
If you are going to replace it all, you already have heads that will feed a 383 nicely. And since youre going to replace injectors as well, my choice would be a 383. I have basicly the same set of heads on an 11:1 383 and I am using the 30# injectors fine with a 255 lph pump. Ive had 383 LT1s since 2000 and the extra torque driving around town is a blast. |
