Anyone use coated cam bearings? I don't remember where I read it, probably here, but if your gonna put a pretty aggresive cam in with decent spring pressure it was a good idea to have coated cam bearings. Was looking at these:

What's the consensus on this one?

which do you think exerts more force on the oil film your rotating parts ride on... 350# x 1.6 rocker ratio, or a 700+ gram rotating mass (piston and rod) at TDC and 6000 crank rpm?

no it was a polite way of telling the OP to think about his question before he asks it. coated bearings dont do **** unless you plan on running your motor with 0 oil pressure. if the 3200+ pounds of force exerted 10 times per second per piston/rod assembly isn't hurting stock bearings in 200k mile lt1s... how is a little valve spring going to hurt cam bearings?

FYI: It wasn't the high rpm's I was worried about. It was about the low rpm's, idling in traffic with less than 10psi oil pressure for long periods of time with high spring pressures. This is where coated bearings would come in handy.

uncoated will be fine
