93 Throttle Cable

Anyone know the difference between the 94-96 and the 93 LT1 throttle cable? I found the 93 number discontinued but the later model is still available. Thanks.

FYI.......... Newer cable (94-96) worked, two differences that don't affect installation, the original had a protective sleeve installed and the replacement didn't, also the TB end of the original is black and the replacement is red.

I put a 95 motor in my 93 car and didn't swap the throttle cables out. They both looked the same and the 93 cables are working fine on my 95 setup. I don't see how they could be different unless it's at the pedal end of the cable.

Hope this helps. Just my experience.

I need one too. Someone told me that Pioneer Auto can help with this, but I haven't contacted them yet.

Its the same, iirc. The difference is on the TB arm itself for the TV cable to the trans.

I ordered a TPIS 58mm throttle body for 94+ LT1 in my car since we did the six speed swap and when I ordered the 24X engine harness I got one for a 94+ IAC and it worked just fine far as the throttle cable hook up. So I can't imagine what the difference would be on that actual throttle cable it self.

Sometimes when a GM part number is discontinued the catalog will note that the old number was superceded by a new one. That wasn't the case here and that's what made me wonder if it is different.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll find out as I ordered the 94-96 cable.
