lifter rocker or piston slap

lifter rocker or piston slap just started my fully forged 383 it has an anoying tick the only part that is not new is the roller rockers, they did eat some glitter when the eagle cast crank broke :however they seemed tight and free rolling what would be a good procedure to isolate the noise if I start the car and start killing cyl by unpluging injectors to eliminate the possibility of piston slap. any other sugestions are welcome.
Piston slap is a scuffing or ticking sound you hear when you start a cold motor. Mine does it and the sound goes compeltely away in a just a few minutes. Forged pistons tend to do it more because they expand and contract much more than hypereutectic pistons.
Does it eventually go away? If its really slap, it is rather harmless and not worth trying to resolve.

slap will be a faster pace noise than a lifter/rocker........piston slap will get better with heat and usually go away at full temp.......a lifter/rocker will usually get worse with heat due to expansion......a rocker will be more of a clacking/clapping sound vs. a deep thunking sound.......lifter will also clack too
ill help ya out cheap if u wanna do it..........no thats just fine it would be a mild solid anyway.........5-7k a year is nothing
