What scanners and what features should I be looking for. I have SEL and need to find out why but I am not driving to autozone every time so which ones work good for ya?

I have used an LS1m from my GTP days. Works well but doesn't do enhanced parameters on LT1s strangely. It does on LS1s and L67s tho.

I don't think Mark makes them anymore tho.

Wow. Can't believe I remembered his name. I used to do some beta testing for him. LS1m.com You may be able to find the cable somewhere or make one and just download the software to a palm or emulator on PC.

I've searched multiple times for OBD2 scanners/dataloggers. Nobody can give an answer. And google is of no help. It makes you wonder how these OBD2 people are doing it. It seems like the only answer is autotap or similar. I believe they are also using efilive?

Well thats where I am at this time I have a custom set up and I can't figure out if I should just buy a scanner or buy software and cable for it. Problem is searching isn't a help because the cables I find say they are OBD 2 connector but only work on OBD 1 systems lol. Anyone have an answer to this???? I know I have asked before and gotten 0 responses but I know there are guys on here running OBD 2 setups.

I hate to tell you man, but I pretty much already gave you the answer. Autotap or similar for scanning/datalogging and JET DST or lt1 edit

...OR switch to OBD1 and get the software much cheaper.

I take this on with me to the track. It doesn't show everything but for the $ isn't bad. Plus it will show live data and logs up to 60 seconds of selected parameters in 1 second increments.

For the house I have access to a Snap-On scanner that reads everything.
