Fresh Rebuild First Startup check list
Hello friends, been working on my rebuild for over a year now. Motor was rebuilt, new clutch, new heads, cam, headers, etc. Pretty much everything has been replaced. I finally dropped on the intake manifold tonight, so things are pretty close to being done. I guess I am a little scared/paranoid about firing her up for the first time so I wanted some input on things I should double check/remember to do. Any input is appreciated.
Before Startup:
1.) Oil (Bought some Rotella 15-40 SAE)
2.) Coolant - fill and bleed out air
3.) Fresh fluid/bleed for clutch system
After Startup:
1.) Retorque Header bolts after a few heat cycles, add lock washers
2.) Varying RPMs, fresh oil/filter change after 25 miles or so.
3.) Make sure new EWP is running.
What else? Thanks!

Most importantly, did you prime the oil system?
When you start the motor, the last thing you want to do is let it idle for too long. Make sure you've got good oil pressure, then go out and drive it. Do several 3/4 throttle pulls in a row to help seat the rings. The worst possible thing you can do is be easy on it. Don't be afraid.

I was going to off/on the key a few times to get the lines filled up and to the injectors before trying to turn it over.
