Default Broken timing chain. Am I screwed?

I found why my car was getting no spark, broken timing chain. I thought it was the opti so I barowed a good one and tried it, so I have been cranking on it some. What are the chances of the valves or ok?

I got the chain and cam with supposedly one dyno run on em. I was told the chain was a lunati. Guy seemed pretty trustworthy, we emailed back and forth for awhile talking about our set-ups, seemed cool, o well. It looked the same as a stock set though. From what i can tell it was the gear that broke. I haven't pulled the covor yet, but there were a couple teeth laying in the valley by the oiling holes. chain itself may not have even broke. I rented a puller for the balancer hub and got the chain thismorning so we'll see

I towed the car home last night and pulled a head off. Number 7 exhaust is bent, but thats the only one. I will pull the other one today along with the chian and post some pics.

Would yall just drop the cradle at this point? Or would it be easier just to leave it all in there? I can't decide. I would just need to to take the rest off the harness of and unbolt the DS and strut tower/ cradle bolts... HMMM?

Dropped cradle would be easier. Have you pulled the timing cover off? Timing chains rarely break, but timing gear bolts now thats a diff story.

Still haven't gotten back out there. I worked on it til 3 last night... From what i could see from the oiling holes the gear was still attatched, the chain was off of it and i found teeth in the sitting by the lifters
