our intakes don't have water in them. maybe he noticed something in the steam pipe area? i would either pressure test the system or start looking real hard at every water connection with a light and a mirror. it shouldn't be that hard to source the problem.

Well taking the water pump off started doing it tonight but stopped because of light issues noticed that the bolts were no where near tight like took 0 force to break them loose maybe the source of the problem?

Loose water pump bolts = leak. Pretty certain there. Add in lack of thread sealant on the threads and you've got a leak. Simple.

x2. I had a small amount of seepage going onto the pump housing after my fresh build.( used thread sealant also) After a quick bit of extra torque on that one bolt, everything sealed up.

To the OP if tightening up does not work, take out one at a time and put some thread sealant on each one. (it will be messy because coolant is going to flow out) Being you working with wet surfaces, you should consider a sealant that does not cure.
