LT1's and Nitrous Question for you experienced LT1 guys, how well do they respond to nitrous and what considerations need to be taken when building one to run a big shot like 200+ |
They respond well. My car went from a 13.6 to a 12.66 on a 150 shot when it was stock with minor bolt ons. |
You won't want to run a 200 shot unless your tune is right on. With better pistons and rod bolts you can run a 200 all day long. |
Mine responded real well it went 9.0 to 9.1 constantly 1/8 mile bone stock but a converter and a 100 shot no tune nothin still has factory everything but converter and a muffler with no cats and went 7.8x with a 1.65 60 on a 275-40-17 et street radial |
I've had a few LT1's in the past and always loved them but never went full bore modding one, now I'm looking to get another one and build full tilt, thinking 383 with a tin of nitrous |
just about anything responds well to nitrous how long will it last? well depends on the build and the tune I can save you some troubles building a car and you can just by mine :) |
Stop talking like that Larry |
