Well got out to the track for the last night and ran a new personal best for the car

1/8...8.646
mph....83.58
1000....11.177
1/4....13.307
mph.....105.93

Best MPh

RT...148

1/8....8.853
mph....83.62
1000....11.381

Of course next thing on the list is deff a set of nicer tires but with you guys see there what do you think i can get out of it with the DRs. all that is done now is the LT's the True duals CAI Tune and gears. So decent times or not?

with a set of proper drag radials, MT et street radials, not nitto 555r's. youd be suprised man. Ramair95ta pulled the front tires on a set of et streets. they arnt a joke. You could honestly see 1.7 60's. you have a 12 second car, no doubt about it. the mph shows it.

You should easily be able to pull 1.8x with drag radials and the stock stall.

I was doing it back in the day with stock heads/cam and converter, 3.73s, and BFG drags, cutting consistent 1.68-1.75 60's.

It's like every other rule in drag racing - they're all made to be broken.

Not sure where you're from, but on a colder night you ALWAYS want to warm up street tires. Don't do a John Force burnout, but just a 2 or 3 second blip to clean them and warm them up. You don't want them HOT, but you don't want them ice cold either.

Yeah there is always a fine line with street tires. You want them warm, but don't over do it or they'll turn into a greasy goo and you'll run an even worse 60' than if they were cold.

Yeah I've been doing research on the MT Street radial how long do you think they will last me. I have a 40 mile round trip to the track and of course the passes. how long you think they would last?

I got about 5000 miles out of my BFG drag radials. That was including a 35 mile ride to the strip and back, plus 5 or 6 passes, plus normal street time.

I just got the MT ET radials and plan on doing the same thing. I'll let you know how they hold up over time.

alright good deal I would be taking them off and on with the tools at the house trying to get as much track time possible out of them

You got me thinking about my MTDRs. I run them to the track and back, 86 mile round trip and I made 41 trips & 171 passes in the last 2 1/2 years. Last pass in late Oct. I had a 1.70 60'. I think I got my money out of them.

Ive heard anywhere from 6-8k out of the et streets depending on track time. The nittos will alst probably 12-14k also depending on abuse. The difference is...ET street radials are consistant and nt555r's are not. Id rather have good results then have a tire that lasts longer but makes me mad at the track.
