Default chandler motorsports opti

I just got my chandler motorsport opti in the mail today. It seems really nice. I have never replaced an optispark before. Do I want to open it up and lock tight the rotor? I will take pictures of the install.

some people recommend doing red loctite on the rotor screws, some dont. I never did and did not have any problems. Maybe i was lucky, i dont know. I would suggest not using red locktite if you are going to do it. Use blue. If you ever just want to replace the rotor and cap, its gonna be a bit** getting the screws out. Just my .02. Mike

I wont support someone with his attitude. Treating LT1 owners like they're stupid for owning one is no way to conduct ones self.

Besides what he sells is the same asian made bullshit pos you can get anywhere.

Run a GM, Dynaspark, or get rid of the opti.

I wouldn't give him a dime if his opti was the best out there and cost $1.00.

But I hope your opti shows up alive, and does good for you.

Yeah, x2. With Chandler's horrid attitude and terrible customer service, and their treatment of the LTx community, they can suck it. They will never get my money.

So what do you recommend in that price range?

I think so many people are looking for an opti in a decent price range, where it's hard to just say, '**** that guy and his $100 opti, go spend $500 at GM'

Those opti are made by the same factory that produces MSDs opti, probably the reason no one uses a MSD anymore lol! My Chandler opti worked great, I took it apart and made sure everything was peachy, then reassembled with gasket sealer and some loctite.

Only other option is GM really, any other supplier uses the same opti as chandler (including cardone, and the other parts house suppliers). I did some researching on them to find out where they were made, who made them, and who sold them retail.

I will only use GM opti's. Had my fair share of failed knock offs...

It's easy to say. --> **** that guy and his $100 opti, go spend $500 at GM.

Seriously. Go spend $500 at GM. and GM optis aren't $500.

At least you can get ahold of people at your GM dealership when you have an issue, and I doubt there's ever been a dead-in-box GM opti. Ever.

Hey man what were your symptoms when your rotor screws backed out? I've put maybe 300 miles on my MSD opti in my 383 and I'm already getting code 36... car occasionally backfires, and sometimes wants to shut down. I'm wondering if my rotor didn't just come loose....

He didn't clear up anything. He made excuses and blew a smoke screen to mask his terrible business practices and ignore responsibilities as a sponsor elsewhere.
