Im looking to fine a website that sells gauge pods for my 96ss Hardtop (all i can find is the TT version), or if anyone has one. (3 pod)

Also would like to know what are the best gauges for the items below, i have heard you need to get the right A/F gauge and they make a few??

I've always been a big fan of Autometer for gauges. They're a long-standing, tried and true company with a good quality product.

My A/F gauge is an AEM UEGO - wideband, has digital numerical readout and colored LED surround. It's been great to me, and it's highly recommended.

My boost gauge is an Autometer vac/boost gauge, goes up to 30 psi. It's mechanical. You could go electrical, but I think mechanical is a better way to go for a boost gauge.

My fuel pressure gauge is an Autometer, electrical. It's not the greatest idea to have a mechanical fuel pressure gauge inside the cab...because you'd be flowing fuel inside the cab. If it leaked, it would be a smelly flammable mess. Get an electric one with a sender.

As far as the pod goes, I've never really looked into one for hardtop, because I'm T-Top. I know RK Sport made a really nice one for TTop, and I think they sold a hardtop version too. Check them out.

I am not aware of anyone who makes a 3-gauge pillar pod for the 93-96 Camaro. I am only aware of them for the 97-02 Camaro and 93-02 Firebird.

I too am a big fan of Autometer (I am currently running fuel pressue, trans temp, and nitrous pressure, all electrical) and the AEM wideband.

Thanks guys that helps a lot. Now I'm just stuck on the pod for my hardtop. Anyone want to trade for t-tops lol.

I don't think t-tops would have helped you...as far as I'm aware, no one makes a 3-gauge pillar pod for the 93-96 Camaro period, hardtop or not.

I wish I had a hardtop car. IMO, t-tops aren't worth the trouble, so worthless.

I would recommend glowshift...I got them for my cummins last year and they are great..i only spent $150 total including shipping for the A-pillar and 3 gauges-60psi boost, 2400*egt, and trans temp- and the gauges i had were able to change about 10 different colors

you have to trim the pillar on the bottom where it meets the dash

Am I the only one who realizes a hardtop's a-pillar plastic is 1 piece all the way back to the c-pillar plastic in the rear???? That's why no one makes a direct replacement.

oh btw I have all autometer ultra lite stuff. Mechanical oil pressure, electric full sweep fuel pressure, electric short sweep trans & water temp and voltmeter. Oh yea, I have an AEM wideband as well, i love that thing it works very well and the price is great

i was thinking about doing the 2 and then a single, but wont that look kinda bad? on the other hand hacking up the ls1 pod might look bad too????

has anyone ever made a gauge holder that sits in the compartment on the Camaros just under the radio, that spot that holds cds or something.

kind of a bad spot really if you want to keep an eye on AFR/ fuel PSI while on it real hard...

and +1 for the AEM wideband. I just installed mine the other day and it works great!

As said above bad for visibility. Good spot for arming switches and such though.

I think most, if not all pillar pods for even t-top cars are just "covers" not complete replacements. I could be wrong though.
Anyone know what it takes to mod a 97-02 triple guage pod to fit lt1 cars?
pics? or a write-up perhaps?
Just wanna know if buying one is gonna be a complete waste or not

If your going to boost your car and want 3 gauges, I would reccomend boost, fuel pressure, and a wideband O2. Air Fuel gauges are not accurate, and they can even play games with your PCM (not a thing you want to have going on at all when you are boosted).

As far as which ones... well there are plenty to choose from. I reccomend going with accurate ones first, then deciding "which one looks cool" to put in.

Heres a pic of my setup. I went with a Autometer electric boost gauge, (pricey, but very accurate above the non-electric one), and a fuel pressure gauge. Then I went with a digital Zeitronix wideband O2 display that also displays EGT and Lambda on the screen in front of my shifter.
