what is this tranny's problem?

Ok so i was accelerating kinda hard to day and my transmission makes a bump sound ever time i accelerate. i have an automatic 94 Z28 and it almost feels like the transmission is hitting against something evertime i accel alittle hard. is it the transmission mount going bad? or something else.

Could be a tranny mount, could be the torque arm, could be a motor mount, could be the rear end, could be a number of things...

Check the mounts out and make sure they are good to go. If they are, go down the list and try to see what it is...I know that isnt very helpful, but you dont really give us a whole lot to work with lol

Tranny mount ... I've broken plenty on 3rd and 4th gens LOL
You can replace it with a rubber one and break it again someday
or install a polyurathane one and deal with the vibration but never have to worry about breaking it.

The good news is that the part costs under $20 and it take about 20-30 min to replace in your driveway with hand tools.

ok my automatic stick the bump is coming from right underneath my shifter!! i know its not the back mount. when i accel auto stick make a bump hit feel and noise. it feel likes the tans goes up and hits when i accel hard... near the middle consol area.

where do you get the polyurathane from? i dont mind vibrations, its a muscle car for christ sakes lol. and is this caused by torque?

Thanks
