Default trying to decide on a cam for my upcoming swap

I decided to do a cam swap using the ai kit. I need some guidance on which cam of theres to go with. Car has to pass md sniffer smog test and it is stock internals. I was going to go with there version of the hot cam but i dont think it will hit my goal of 11.99 so which cam should i go with and still will pass emissions. Mods are in sig i know i dont have Complete bolt ons but i figure i have enough to support a cam.

Pretty sure they would be the best ones to ask... you know since you're using their kit and all. Lol

You can hit 11.99 with any cam. Just depends on how street able you want the rest of the car.

Didnt want to bug them since i wont have the money till next tax season. I was going but what cams they have listed the one above the 218 226 cam im talking about is the 226/234 not meant for emissions. Im afraid running the smaller cam with the mods i have now will not get me a 11 second time slip

run the biggest cam you can get away with or else you might regret it later IMO.

I think a custom cam is gonna be necessary for you to get 11.99 cam only and full weight Lloyd Elliot has a 224/230 on 112 lsa cam that he says is his the largest emission friendly cam, but its hard to say if AI's cam has more aggressive lobes than LE or vise versa. My advice is either give AI a call or an E-mail or both and see what they say. Try this link and see if you can find something that might help. http://s322636171.e-shop.info/shop/c...aram=cid%3D%26

i run AI's 230/238 but i also have a set of their heads on my car. with stock heads a 226/234 is prolly going to be to big and hurt more than help. you can always go to big but never to small. i think i would go with their version of the hot cam on stock heads. but give them a call or email they are great people to work with.

That 218/226 cam will easily take you into the 11's. Deep 11's if you do the rest of car right.
And, if you DON'T do all of the necessary supporting mods, the smaller cam will absolutely be the better choice; it will be less hamstrung by mild gearing and converter.
